On June 17, 2016, the Couples for Christ (CFC) delegates from China came to visit LMI and spoke with the 6 Chinese seminarians.
On June 12, 2016, ten seminarians were inducted before Fr. Mariano Clarence Canafe Jr., LRMS to mark the beginning of their service to the community as part of their missionary calling.
on June 12, 2016, the LMI Community sang the Philippine National anthem and the Pledge of Allegiance on the occasion of the Philippine Independence Day.

On March 5 and 6, 2016, the LMI Community together with its personnel had their annual Apostolate evaluation at Calatagan.
On February 20, 2016, the Lorenzo Mission Institute and the Morning Group of Greenbelt Chapel had made their annual Lenten pilgrimage. On the occasion of the Jubilee Year of Mercy and the Jubilee Year of the foundation of the Diocese of San Pablo, the pilgrims passed through the Jubilee Door of Mercy of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Pagsanjan, and the Jubilee Door of San Pablo Cathedral.
On February 5, 2016, Luis Antonio Cardinal G. Tagle, D.D., Archbishop of Manila came to the Lorenzo Mission Institute for the Annual San Carlos Pastoral Formation Complex picture taking. It was just timely since two days later would be the Chinese New Year. It was the opportunity for the whole community to greet the Cardinal.
On November 11, 2015, Fr. Hu Jian Min, the Rector of Sacred Heart of Jesus Seminary in Handan, China came over to LMI to formally entrust seminarian Joseph Yue (top picture far left) to the care of LMI formators and community for his philosophy and theology studies. He came over also to have colloquium with the seminarians coming from the Diocese of Handan.
On November 20, 2015, games of volleyball and basketball between Lorenzo Mission Institute and Holy Apostles Senior Seminary were held to foster friendship and fellowship as well as sportsmanship and character. HASS won the volleyball sets while LMI won the basketball games.
On November 24, 2015 the LMI community remembers the formators who passed away and were buried at the La Loma Catholic Community. Buried here were Msgr. Paul Lu, PME, the LMI’s second Rector, and the LRMS first superior; Msgr. Charles Tschou, LMI’s first Procurator, and Fr. Aloysius Chi who became the pioneering founder of the Mary Immaculate Parish in Dumaguete.
On October 20-21, 2015, seminarians of the Archdiocese of Manila gather for their annual bonding and aggiornamento in Calamba, Laguna. The number seen in the picture is just 3/4 of the total number of seminarians which comprise the 4 seminaries (San Carlos Seminary, Holy Apostles Senior Seminary, and Redemptoris Mater) as well as those seminarians studying in UST (University of Sto. Tomas) and San Jose Seminary.
On September 28, 2015, the Lorenzo Mission Institute and the Lorenzo Ruiz Mission Society celebrate their patron saint’s feastday in the seminary. Some members of the society came over for the feast.
On October 1, 2015, the LMI community celebrates the Feast of St. Therese of the Child Jesus who is one of the patron saints of LMI and LRMS. Besides, on that day, the formators and the seminarians of the Lorenzo Mission Institute gave honor, special reception and program to the personnel. The personnel have been with institute for the past 20 to 30 years serving the seminarians and the priests of the Lorenzo Ruiz Mission Society.
On September 27, 2015, six LMI seminarians were installed as acolytes. The rites were done at the Lay Formation Center inside San Carlos Seminary, EDSA Guadalupe Makati City, Philippines and were presided over by His Excellency Honesto Ongtioco, D.D., Bishop of the Diocese of Cubao. Those who were installed were (from right to left in the picture above) Seminarians Peter Xu, Andrew Wu, Joel Bonina, Riel Palmario, Mark Anthony Balderama, and Aidan Zaballero.
On September 27, 2015, nine seminarians of the Lorenzo Mission Institute were invested with the clerical garb. Those who were invested were: (right to left of the 2nd picture above) Ernest Gio V. Velasco, Ron Jerrald S. Templo, Rommel T. Tacleon, Jhunmari G. Potrido, Ramil P. Ostia, Ian Gabriel I. Nunez, Paul Meng Yongshuai, John Kennerie R. Manio and Tom J. Calingasan. The Rites for Investiture and the Holy Eucharist were presided over by Bishop Honesto Ongtioco, D.D. Bishop of the Diocese of Cubao.
